More on the topic of modifying
The first reason we post Rx’d standards to WODs is to help us (the coaches/athlete) record workouts. Yes, we keep track of your workouts everyday as long as you put it on the whiteboard. By keeping track of your workouts we can see your improvements and help make you a better athlete overall. If there are 10 different movements in a workout it is easier and more practical for us to log the workout and write down modifications then try to log different standards for everyone for all 10 movements. Some gyms try to fix this by posting 3 different versions of each workout (scaled, Rx and Elite.) The problem with this is that people modify the workouts in different ways so logging a workout becomes even more complicated when some movements were Elite, some Rx’d and some scaled. Our coaches would rather help you personalize each WOD to make it the best WOD for you. (Please ask a coach if you have any questions on this topic. There will be a lot more about modifying in the next few days.)
