    Try on the blank Open shirts or tanks in the gym to get your size. I will post a link to the shirt request form tomorrow. The first people to put their name on the request form that I post tomorrow will get the shirts first. Please know your size!

    1) Why Did I Sign Up?
    I have been competing in The Open since the beginning of our gym, and some of my favorite memories are trying like hell as a CrossFit newbie to keep up with Alex, and failing miserably, when it was just the two of us doing the workouts. I signed up this year, pregnant, because The Open is for EVERYONE. And I believe that in 4+ years, we have fostered a community that supports exactly that. I cannot believe how many people we had sign up last year and we have come a LONG way since it was just two of us doing it in the small gym. Can’t wait to see what all of you have to offer this year, and to be part of the Friday Night Lights that our gym becomes!

    2) What do I hope to get out of The Open?
    I hope to be able to put up a score for each workout, RX or Scaled matters not, knowing that this year, that might not even happen. More importantly I hope to both inspire at least one member, and be inspired by at least one member.

    3) What are you excited about for The Open?
    I am super excited to watch the members who left last year’s Open with a new goal on a movement or weight, and worked their ass off all year to get better, get to feel that sense of victory at being a whole year’s better at this test of their fitness! My favorite part is watching people push themselves to disbelief when they accomplish something they had no idea was inside of them.

    4) Anything else you’d like to say?
    If you are on the fence about signing up, get off the fence. Screw that actually, JUMP off the fence and dive in, because I promise, you will experience both success, and failure…joy, and heartache, but that all will have been earned with sweat and fun and it’s TOTALLY worth it.
