    More on the topic of modifying

    In the end we workout daily to get better for the future. Try to remember that every day is not a test of how good you are, but is a chance to better yourself for tomorrow. Remind yourself that by modifying the workout you get a 100% personalized workout for yourself. It’s always hard for coaches to hear people say “I don’t want to do CrossFit because I don’t want to get hurt” or “I’m too old for CrossFit”. Truth is if we’re smart about modifying and working around (not through) injuries then you can do CrossFit for the rest of your life. There is so much more that I could say about the topic of modifying workouts so please ask me or any other coach if you have any questions about it.
    There are a number of ways to modify an advanced WOD like 25 Burpee Backflips for time. Even though this is a crazy workout, I would suggest coming in for a great personalized WOD.
    – 25 rounds of 1 Burpee, 1 Tuck Jump and every 5th round do a backflip.
    – 25 rounds of 1 Burpee, 1 Tuck Jump and every 5th round do a backflip attempt to a crash mat.
    – 25 rounds of 1 Burpee, 1 Tuck Jump and 1 backward roll.
    – 25 rounds of 1 Burpee, 1 Tuck Jump and every 5th round do 1 backward roll.
    – 25 rounds of 1 Burpee, 1 Tuck Jump and 1 forward roll.
    – 25 rounds of 1 Burpee, 1 Tuck Jump and every 5th round do 1 forward roll.
    – 25 rounds of 1 Burpee, 1 Tuck Jump and 1 side roll.
    – 25 rounds of 1 Burpee, 1 Tuck Jump and every 5th round do 1 side roll.
    The list can keep going.
    There are many ways to modify a workout to make it the right workout for you!

    – 1 Shoulder Press
    – 3 Push Press
    – 5 Jerks

    Death By Burpees
    Min #1 – 1 Burpee
    Min #2 – 2 Burpees
    Min #3 – 3 Burpees
    continue going up until you fail to complete the number of burpees in 1 minute.
